We went to UT for the week of General Conference. We had so much fun hanging with Burr's family, seeing old friends, and cousin Marisha. We did so much. I posted a ton of pictures and did separate blogs for each activity so you will have to scroll down pretty far to see it all. Sorry! Enjoy!

Burr's parents had these head phones in there room to listen to the TV. Brekken thought they were so cool he had to wear them. This picture cracks me up.
We went to the ancient life museum at Thanksgiving point with Marisha. This was probably the most fun we had the entire trip.

Brekk loved playing in the sand and digging for the dinosaurs

Brock had fun also. He just wanted to splash and make a mess.

Brekk and Burr built there own dinosaur. So fun!

They had the most amazing dinosaur skeletons. I can't believe how big they were

Brekken was so scared of this shark we had to drag him over to it.
I took the boys to a nursery called the vineyard. It was so much fun. They had a corn maze, animals, a play ground, and another play area where they crawled through these tunnels and played in this big pumpkin. It was well worth the 3 dollars to get in. Its always fun to hang with cousins.

My cute pumpkin and scarecrow

This was at the start of the corn maze. Little did I know how often I would have to chase Brekken down and threaten him to stay by me or I would strap him in the stroller.

There is a little girl that doesn't belong in this picture. Can you guess who it is? I didn't know how to tell her to get out of the way. Oh well, she blends in.

Here are the cousins walking to the end of the corn maze.

Brock had fun crawling through this tunnel. It was the only time he got out of the stroller so he was happy. I don't even want to think about how dirty it was in there.
We went out to dinner with Carly and Nat . I love these girls. Its always great to see them.

Two amazing friends.

Here is everyone. Nat your kids are adorable and so well behaved.
Here we are at the Animal farm at Thanksgiving point. We loved hanging out with Sarah and the Kids. Brekk and Micah are great buddies.

Brekken was so excited to ride the horses. I was trying not to step in horse poop.

I love this picture. Brock was getting sleepy so he snuggled up to his daddy.

Best buddies, cousins Micah and Brekken

Cousins Grace, Brekken, and Micah. They all posed the same, so cute!

Burr is no longer in his 20's

Burr turned the Big 30 today. I'm not sure how he is feeling about that. He told me that he didn't want to celebrate or even acknowledge that it was his birthday. I told him it was time to grow up, whatever that means...

I love how Brock got in on the singing.

First Birthday

We celebrated Brock's first birthday On Sunday. I still can't believe he is a year old. I was feeling sad then remembered that we have a little one coming in April. I really need him to grow up so I can handle a new born. It was so much fun to have our friends and family over to watch him eat his cake. I am a weird mom and don't like to feed my kids sugar until their first birthday so it was Brock's first taste of cake and ice cream. There is one exception, I gave Brock a popsicle(aunt Christina's idea) when he was teething so it really wasn't his first taste of sugar. He loved the frosting but wasn't a big fan of the ice cream.

Brock's First Year

Brock turned one years old yesterday. I almost cried going through all of the pictures from the past year. He is such a big boy.

Navajo county fair

I took Brekk to the fair in Holbrook today. I got Miranda to babysit Brock for me so it was one on one with Brekk. He was so excited to go. We went with the Greens which was so much fun. I wanted to see all the animals and was a little disappointed when there really wasn't a whole lot. Brekk wanted to ride the rides and was on the verge of tantrum mod when I told him we weren't going to do that this time. I tried to distract him with a bomb pop that was almost as big as he was. Ya, that worked for about 5 minutes. It was a good thing we left when we did he was having a melt down and I basically had to drag him back to the car all while stuffing my face with a funnel cake. Yum!

The pigs smelled so bad!

I thought this pig was dead. I love the tongue sticking out.

We got a ride on a train.

This bomb pop is bigger than his head.

Preschool

I have been doing preschool with Brekk for the past 3 weeks. It is the Letter of the week preschool curriculum that My friend Ashby told me about. It has the hole year planned out for us. I love it because I really wouldn't know where to begin if I had to come up with everything. We added saying the pledge of allegiance every morning at the start of our class. I loved saying the pledge of allegiance in school and so I really wanted Brekken to learn it. Since they took it out of the schools I think it is important that we teach our own children. We are still working on a few of the words but he has it down pretty well.

P.S. go to the bottom of the page and pause the music so you can hear the video.

Hooray! Brekk is potty trained

I can't believe he is finally potty trained. It took about 3 days and then, something clicked. I had been watching him like a hawk because he hides every time he does his business. If I could catch him then he would go on the toilet but if he could get a chance and sneak of to my closet he would go in his pants. Then one day I couldn't find him and I was sure he was hiding somewhere, but in fact he was in the bathroom. He took himself! I was shocked and soooo excited. Crazy how happy getting Brekk potty trained has made me. He was so excited about his underwear but even more excited about watching himself on the camera.

He is so sweet!

I have been sick off and on for the last 3 weeks. I rarely felt nauseous when I was pregnant with the boys. It is awful! I only wanted soup the other night and it had to be chicken noodle or taco soup. I decided that the taco with all of the spices would not be the best so chicken it was, besides we had all the ingredients for chicken noodle. Burr was so sweet, he jumped right in and started making it for me. About half way into it he said, "you should take a picture of me making you dinner and blog it." He doesn't want me to ever forget that he can be so thoughtful. The funny thing is he left shortly after I took this picture to go give someone a bid and I had to finish it. Oh well, its the thought that counts right.

Sholow Skate Park

While we were up at the ranch Burr took Brekken to the skate park in Sholow. Of course Burr wants Brekk to be a skater boy. It is so fun to watch Burr teach Brekk, he loves being with his dad. I love that he had his sesame street helmet on, he looks so tough. The park was really cool, it was like two big bowls side by side. Burr was going up and jumping or trying to jump the middle then land in the other side. He looks hot!

The Ranch

We love going to to ranch. Last weekend Burr put up rain gutter on his uncles homes there, so we took the boys for a night. There are a couple of tire swings down by the basement. This is one of Brekken's favorite things to do at the ranch. Brock loved it too. He laid back, kicked his feet up and was ready to relax.

Best Friends

Life is Rough

Hair blowing in the wind

My baby is climbing

Brock started climbing the stairs last week. He is getting so big and really fast. I was in the kitchen cleaning up while the boys were playing in the family room,(so I thought) I looked over and didn't see Brock. Usually when I can't find him he is in my bathroom playing with the bathtub faucet. I went to look but no Brock. I was walking through the house calling his name and when I got to the stairs and looked up he was hanging out at the very top just smiling at me. SCARY! I guess its time for the gates.

Here we go again!

Ummm yep! That would be two lines people. I am pregnant. We were planning to try in September but somehow didn't make it that far. Oh well! We are excited and I am very nervous. I have had a few freak out moments. Crying and thinking I can't do this, Brock is still too little, Brekken is not potty trained, how am I going to do this. Thank goodness we have 9 months to prepare ourselves. I am only just over 6 weeks but I'm already feeling fat and sick.

Indoor smores

I made indoor smores with Brekken the other day. I wanted something sweet so badly we made a special trip to the store to get all the ingredients. Brekken is a great helper when it comes to making a treat.

Brekken did all the pouring into the bowl.

He also helped press them into the pan.

And of course someone has to lick the spatula.

Into everything!

Brock is at the stage were he is curious about everything. He is also into everything. We have a bottle drawer in the kitchen that he gets into everyday and pulls out everything. Every time I am doing dishes he is right there climbing into the dishwasher or pulling out the dishes. I love this stage when they explore but it sure is tiring.
